A classic black tea from the peak of the second flush season
From the Manufacturer
Taylors of Harrogate Afternoon Darjeeling Tea Bags let you brew a rich, satisfying cup of tea. Darjeeling tea leaves come from the highest gardens in the foothills of the Himalayas at heights of around 6,000-7,000 feet. The slow rate of growth and climatic conditions in this region produce smaller crops of excellent quality. Indeed, Darjeeling is often referred to as the "Champagne of Teas" because of its fine quality and subtle muscatel wine-like flavor. This tea is best served without milk or sugar, or plain as an accompaniment to Asian cuisine. Each English-style, tagless tea bag contains 2.5 grams of tea. Taylors is the recipient of the British Tea Councils Best Cup of Tea in England award, which ensures that Afternoon Darjeeling, like every tea they make, is of the highest quality.
- Our tea is selected from the highest gardens in the foothills of the Himalayan mountains at the peak of the growing season when the tea is at its best. Only then does the tea have the subtle muscatel flavour, the result of a unique combination of cool misty climate, high altitude, rich soil and careful plucking and handling. Known as ‘the champagne of teas’, our Afternoon Darjeeling is perfect for serving with cakes and pastries in the afternoon. Serve on its own or with milk or lemon.
- Subtle, muscatel, wine-like flavor makes this a soothing afternoon blend
- Made with 100% natural Himalayan Darjeeling tea leaves
